Low-Level Laser Treatment

In January 2007 the FDA gave clearance for the first Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) medical device for the treatment of hair loss.

The studies concluded that 93% of the participants had an increase in the number of terminal (thick) hairs. The average number of terminal hairs per square centimeter increased by 19 hairs/cm over a six-month period. There were no reports of serious side effects during the study.

LLLT was first used in diabetics to treat ulcers and has recently gained recognition for its ability to accelerate the healing of wounds and burns.

FDA acceptance of LLLT as a hair loss treatment has opened the door to a new and exciting era of drugless and non-invasive alternative therapies.

Laser Therapy at PILC

We at PILC are proud to be one of the "first wave" adopters of this exciting technology for the benefit of our clients. Both men and women alike are starting to see results from our newly adopted laser therapies.

We offer powerful in-office treatments with the Sunetics Model "E" Clinical Laser system. Typically, there are 44 laser sessions included in our standard protocol. Each treatment is 20 minutes in duration. Although potent ... these treatments are considered safe, harmless and effective.

We also offer hand-held laser units specially designed for home use. These items have become very popular and are easy and convenient to use. They only require a commitment of 10 minutes, 3 - 5 times a week.
