What causes hair loss?
It's a matter of genes. Hair loss is predetermined before birth. Sensitivity to the male hormone DHT dihydrotestosterone by the follicles will cause them to shrink and cause thinning over time. Add the age factor and individuals can experience a range from thinning to partial balding.

What about medical solutions?
As we mentioned before, DHT is the hormone, combined with genetics, that causes hair loss. There are FDA approved medications that are effective in keeping the hair you currently have and actually regrow some of the hair already lost. See our RX Medications section.

Will Hair Restoration really work?
Hair Restoration has worked for both men and women, young & old, Caucasian & African-American, candidates for almost half a century. It works and looks the most natural because it is your own hair. It will grow on its own and is a permanent solution for hair loss.

Will I have a natural appearance?
Because the procedure utilizes microsurgery to relocate hair from your own donor area, the hair is and looks very natural. Using Follicular Transplant Units (FTU's) method, the surgeon can locate the exact texture and sizes of hair, from one to three units, to give the most natural appearance. Most importantly, there's no 'plug' effect and the hairs will grow forever. In addition to the highly stated microsurgery technique, the surgeon has his artistic abilities to create an age-appropriate hairline that contributes to the natural look of the final hair restoration.
